  1. Heat (medium) olive oil in skillet and brown onions (A); reduce heat to very low; keep covered
  2. Meanwhile, heat (medium) olive oil in saucepan and add spices (B)
  3. Add lentils, stir to coat, add water and salt (C)
  4. Bring saucepan with lentils to boil; reduce heat to medium-low; cover

(30 minutes pass)

  1. Add rice and garlic (D) to saucepan with lentils
  2. Add raisins to skillet with onions

(30 minutes pass)

  1. Take saucepan with lentils and rice off heat; let stand, uncovered

(10 minutes pass)

  1. Mix half of chives (F) into lentils and rice
  2. Remove lentils & rice to large bowl
  3. Sprinkle other half of chives (G) on top
  4. Cover lentils & rice with onions & raisins

Serve with Greek yogurt and sauce.
